2014 Convention Call for Papers

Activity Professionals of Ontario is proud to be celebrating our 30th Anniversary. This year’s annual Convention will be held at the Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood, Ontario from October 22nd-24th, 2014. Our special APO anniversary theme for convention is “All About You: The Activity Professional” and we are requesting speakers for any topic related to this theme. 

Speakers wishing to submit a proposal must do so by April 1st, 2014 by mail or email to the address below. Successfully selected speakers will be notified by April 30th, 2014.

APO President encourages you to join us in Niagara Falls

The 29th Annual APO Conference & Exhibit Show, Sheraton on the Falls, Niagara Falls, October 23-25th, 2013

Greetings Activity Professionals and Recreation Therapists,

We are very exciting to be hosting our 29th Annual Convention in Niagara Falls.  They have everything from casinos to tight-rope walkers, and what better place to celebrate the fine balancing act that we do, than right here is the heart of Niagara.

Planning is underway for a dynamic program, with some exciting entertainment and networking for everyone to join in.  Start budgeting now to be a part of the magic and education that will take place in October.  This is the only conference that solely focuses on education session for those working in recreation with seniors.
If you are interested in attending the convention, this webpage will be updated when new confirmed speakers and activities are to be announced, so check back often. 

This three-day event will be one not to miss, so mark your calendars now!

Convention 2013 -- information for attendees

We invite you to join us in Niagara Falls for APO's 29th Annual Conference & Exhibit Show at the Sheraton on the Falls. This year's convention will be held October 23-25th, 2013.

The early-bird registration deadline has been extended to Sept. 27. However, space in some sessions in limited, so be sure to register as soon as possible to ensure your desired selections.

The APO convention cancellation policy is as follows:
Cancellations prior to Oct. 1, 2013, will be subject to a $50 processing fee. To request a cancellation/refund, contact the APO Head Office at
Cancellation requests after this date must be sent to the APO Head Office by e-mail at and will be charged the full convention rate.
