Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of Activity Professionals of Ontario. We offer four types of membership:

Professional Membership is open to individuals currently employed in the field as an activity director, co-director, assistant, or consultant. Currently our membership includes Activity Professionals in long term care facilities (including nursing homes, homes for the aged, and chronic care units in hospitals), as well as adult day programs and retirement homes. Note: this membership category was previously referred to as Active Membership.

Student Membership is available to individuals who are full-time students in a post-secondary institution. (Note: proof of student status required.)

Associate Membership. This category is open to individuals who are interested in furthering the activity and recreation profession. Associate members must be ineligible for professional membership or student membership, and are former or retired activity professionals. (Note: applications will be reviewed by the APO board.)

Business Membership shall be for businesses and/or vendors that provide products and services to the field of recreation/leisure in the healthcare sector.
